Recipe Calorie Calculator

Know what's actually in your recipes.

Most recipe calculators make you do the math yourself, or slap a made-up score on everything and call it a day. This one doesn't.

Recipe Nutrition Calculator FAQ

Q.What is SmartFoodCalculator?

SmartFoodCalculator is a recipe calorie calculator: paste a recipe's ingredients and get calories, macros, and an honest health rating in seconds. Built to go beyond a bare calorie count into something you can actually act on.

Q.How accurate is the nutrition data?

Each ingredient is matched against Spoonacular's nutrition database, the same kind of source professional nutrition labels pull from. When something doesn't have a match, an AI fallback estimates it instead of leaving it out, so your totals stay complete even for less common ingredients.

Q.How is the health rating calculated?

We weigh the whole nutrition profile together, calories, protein, carbs, fat, sugar, sodium, and more, not just one number in isolation. That comes back as one of three plain categories: healthy, moderate, or unhealthy, instead of a decimal score dressed up to look more precise than it actually is.

Q.Can I see how a different serving size changes the numbers?

Yes. Every saved recipe has two independent controls: Servings (more or fewer identical portions, same nutrition per serving) and Portion size (same number of portions, but bigger or smaller, so nutrition per serving scales with it). Dial either one and the ingredient amounts and nutrition facts update instantly.

Q.Is analyzing a recipe free?

Yes. Try it right on this page, no account needed for your first few analyses. Sign up anytime to save your recipes and keep going.

Q.Is my data private?

Once you sign up, your recipes and analyses are private to your account. Nobody else can see them.

Q.How do I get started?

Q.How do I cancel my subscription?
